Chariots And People at Heart Foundation Stitch by Program

In January 2024 we started on a great note. As part of our ‘we have talent’ initiative, we launched our Chariots / People at Heart Foundation Stitch by Stitch project on Saturday the 20th of January 2024. This program trains tailoring skills to marginalized women. We kicked off with 7 women that are in the training program.

Our group consists of single mums, widows, women with disabilities and women from marginalized backgrounds. They are all unemployed and do not have any formal education. These women survive from doing odd jobs. Our goal is to empower them to get a skill so that they are able to fend for their families.

We hope to get them materials and a sewing machine each at the end of the 9 week program so that they have a starting point. Based on our selection none of them can afford to get machines to start a sewing project. Provision of a start up kit would be our way of  taking a holistic approach towards empowering them. This year alone we will have 3 groups. Hopefully we will empower 25-30 women this year through this program.

Once again a big thank you to all that supported this program on inception. If you want to be part of this initiative or sponsor this program financially,  strategically or in any other way please fill free to contact us.

# together we can help change lives one step at a time.
